Writing a Business Plan—Tuesday, February 21

If you want to open and run a business successfully, a business plan allows you to be an effective business owner.  Project costs, plan marketing strategies, set short and long-term goals, prepare for that important meeting with potential creditors. The SBTDC consultant will show you each step of the planning process.

Business Services Provided by Career Alliance/Michigan Works!—Tuesday, March 6

Is there a better way to hire and train new employees?   Most employers hire on qualifications and fire on “fit”.  Answers to the questions of ‘can the person do the job; will the person do the job; and how will the person do the job,’ may be found with JobFit, a Career Alliance tool.  JobFit, Talent Bank, the MEDC Job Portal, located at hiremi.org, and other employment services available through Career Alliance will be presented and discussed.  Recent changes in federal and state legislation present both opportunities and challenges, we invite you get up to date by attending this session.
