Nominate the 2010 Shiawassee County Citizen of the Year

The Citizen of the Year Award is presented to an individual who has demonstrated an active interest and significant involvement within the last 12 months in community affairs in Shiawassee County and has throughout their efforts, assisted the Chamber in meeting it’s mission.

The Citizen of the Year is selected by a committee that includes the immediate past Citizen of the Year, three to four previous Citizens of the Year who represent a Chamber Member Business/Organization, a Chamber staff representative, a representative of the title sponsor and a member at large of the committee’s choosing. The recipient will be announced prior to, and presented at, the Shiawassee Regional Chamber’s Annual Dinner to be held on Thursday, January 28, 2010.

ELIGIBILITY: The nominee must have been a Shiawassee County resident for at least two (2) years, and have a Shiawassee County mailing address. The individual must have demonstrated an active interest and significant involvement within the last 12 months (or has contributed substantially over thier career) in community affairs and has, through their efforts, assisted the Chamber in meeting it’s mission. Please only one nomination per person, previous recipients are not eligible. A follow-up questionnaire will be mailed to the nominee to gather more information.

Nomination deadline is 4:00 p.m. on November 20, 2009.
