    For over four decades, the business community has come together each year to honor and recognize some of their peers who, in one way or another, have stood out, excelled or demonstrated some trait of excellence that they feel deserves acknowledgement. Over the years, the format of the program has changed, the number of awards has varied, but through it all, the desire to recognize, that which is good and great in our community, remains.
    Deadline for nominations: Wednesday, May 21st @ 12pm. 

    The recipient will be announced at the Annual Dinner & Awards Ceremony hosted by the Shiawassee Regional Chamber of Commerce in June 2025.
    The Shiawassee County Business Awards are proudly presented by:

    ANNUAL AWARDS CRITERIA
    Innovation Award:  The Innovation Award celebrates the chamber member organization that introduces new methods, ideas and products to improve our lives and challenge the status quo. The award acknowledges an organization of any size that identifies opportunities and executes creative-thinking and calculated risk-taking to bring innovation to the marketplace. (Previously known as Small, Medium or Large Outstanding Business Award)
    Entrepreneur Award:  This award honors an individual or business that is a risk taker, shows initiative, and creates wealth and jobs for others, creating value in the county. The award recipient is a member of the chamber and is involved with the community and encourages others to do the same.

    Heart of Shiawassee: This award recognizes a local non-profit for their strenuous roles and countless hours of dedication and service. Without their good works in educating, advocating, or offering long-term solutions many would not be able to thrive.  The award recipient is a chamber member that is a religious, educational or charitable organization that exhibits passion for serving the residents of Shiawassee County.
    Community Champion:  A Community Champion is an example for the rest of the community to follow.  This award emphasizes that community service is important and that the recipient passionately demonstrates the true meaning of community service.  The recipient may be a public official, a community leader, a concerned citizen, a health or human services worker or a volunteer.  The recipient can be a chamber member or non-member.
