The occurrence of one of these is the essence of entrepreneurship. You are given a vision and a purpose. You create a plan, you take action, and you take diligent steps, day after day to bring the vision into reality. You create a business. You speak about it, represent it, live it. At some point, a connection occurs and your vision is recognized; a person that was once in your position notices your vigor, believes in your mission, and sees your potential. Your entrepreneurial energy attracts just the right network that leads to a break.
The break that made you.
Excuse me, the break that facilitated you. YOU made you. You worked and believed.
Facilitation occurs when collaboration, investment, and experience are shared and leveraged by new business minds with big ideas and a drive to succeed.
So, do tell. Tell your story.
Tell that really interesting and surprising part that was the most integral part of the journey. That part where you got a break. The moment when all your grinding and commitment to your vision was finally recognized by someone else, and they said, “Let me help you.”
Please, do tell. We invite you to share that story, because this is the essence of the Chamber. People helping people. Collaboration. Investment. Convening leaders and supporting entrepreneurs. Making the Shiawassee Region extraordinary!
Tasha Staley is our Member Engagement Specialist. One of the Chamber's core values is to "Tell the Story" of our members. Tasha has set out to do just that with the Chamber Blog. We hope that these stories will inspire you and encourage entrepreneurs in our region.
