SRCC Membership development coordinator
Job Description
Under the direction of the Chamber President, this position is responsible for all activities related to membership growth and retention, including, but not limited to ongoing recruitment efforts – materials and campaigns; relationship building – meeting members’ needs in terms of resources and referrals; collaboration with Events & Marketing Coordinator to design, develop, plan, and execute special events and marketing campaigns; managing the Membership budget.

The successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communications skills, sales experience including developing leads, making calls, and sales presentations. They will be creative, initiative-taking, a collaborator, and full of enthusiasm.
This position requires familiarity with membership organization purpose and function, and a passion for helping businesses succeed.
Diplomatic collaborator able to foster relationships with members, colleagues, and community leaders.
College degree a plus but not required.

- New membership sales calls, lead generation, development, and execution of membership recruitment plan
- Maintain membership data base
- Facilitate ribbon cuttings
- Create and execute a membership retention plan

About Us: The SRCC (Shiawassee Regional Chamber of Commerce) is a 120-year-old member driven organization dedicated to promoting the interests of local businesses and fostering economic growth within our community. www.shiawasseechamber.org.

We are committed to supporting our members by providing networking opportunities, advocacy, and valuable resources. We are looking for a visionary and accomplished leader to serve as the President/CEO of the Chamber of Commerce, driving our mission forward and standing for the voice of our business community.
Position Overview: As the President/CEO of the Chamber of Commerce, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the economic landscape of our region and championing the interests of our members. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, you will lead a dedicated team, collaborate with community stakeholders, and implement strategic initiatives to enhance the success of local businesses. This position requires a dynamic individual with proven leadership skills, a deep understanding of business environments, and a passion for collaboration between business and community. You will also be responsible for the administration of The Armory, the building that the Chamber is housed in. The Armory provides modern Workspaces, Offices, and Suites as well as access to ultramodern conference rooms, training center, and business development resources all in a historic building in the downtown Owosso area.
Qualifications: Proven financial/fiscal acumen, member-driven organization experience, ability to execute strategic plans, social media acuity, ability to collaborate and communicate verbally, and in writing, and funding source understanding. Passion for chamber work is a must. Bachelor’s preferred or equivalent experience.
