The Chamber strength and reputation in the Community is strong platform to bring businesses and people who run them together with many different programs. I have been a chamber ambassador for many years and benefited in many ways both personally and professionally." Brandi SkinnerKori Shook & Associates

"I began attending Chamber AM and various other Chamber activities when I moved to the area in 2023. I found the Chamber community very welcoming and enjoyed meeting other business owners. Becoming a Chamber Ambassador allowed me to meet more community business members, learn about services and increase my networking. It is rewarding when I am able to help a Dort member connect with local business services or products from Chamber members. I look forward to continued work in the community, building relationships and learning about Shiawassee County!" Amber NewsomFifth Third Bank

objective
The Chamber Ambassadors are a group of volunteer business leaders/members of the Shiawassee Regional Chamber of Commerce whose primary goal is to assist in membership retention, provide welcoming ribbon cutting services and to support Chamber special events through volunteering or fundraising. Some of the volunteering includes:
- Member communication contact in person, by mail, phone, and email - this is a primary requirement of an Ambassador.
- Initial contact with new members by delivering a "welcome bag" provided by SRCC staff.
- Volunteer time at important Ambassador fundraising activities.
- Attend new business Ribbon Cuttings to encourage and support new area business. Deliver Ribbon Cutting frames as needed.
- Make Brick Award presentations based upon a group decision at monthly lunch meetings. Ambassadors bring names to the meeting and vote on who receives the award.
- LISTEN to comments, ideas, concerns from fellow members and potential new members, and communicate those to Chamber staff.
- Be knowledgeable of and share information on Chamber member benefits, programs, and services.
- Monthly meetings to share information on upcoming events, activities, etc.
- Affirm the commitment and support the Chamber has for its members.
- Serve as hosts/hostesses at various Chamber events.
- Have FUN connecting with Chamber members and staff!
